We are a home-based Internet Auction and Classified Ad site that unlike the larger auctions such as eBay® & Yahoo®, we have the ability to allow people who are or are not online to consign their items to our online auctions or sell them themselves through our website. Our auction and classified ads buyers are specifically looking for Dolls! From Vintage Barbie to Bisque and Porcelain, even modern Artist dolls. Vintage Barbie is our specialty.

Our focus is to specifically bring doll collectors together with those who want to sell their dolls.

In the past, the only choice of the people who had Barbie dolls to sell was to try to learn the complicated lingo that is required to list your items on the larger auction sites. We are eliminating that problem for those wish to sell. By taking your items on consignment you have nothing to worry about except when you will receive your check for your items!

But for those who want instant satisfaction from their collection, we do buy many collections outright if it is a collection that we are personally interested in. If you are a seller who wants a quick sale, then feel free to contact us. But please keep in mind that for the majority of purchases, because we are retailers, we cannot pay book prices. We need your understanding in that in order to keep our site running, we need to make a profit on those items that we purchase outright, so that others may enjoy our site's many uses. When selling, we usually pay from 50-70% of the item's retail value. This is the general amount paid by almost all retailers. But generally, the better the item is, the more we will pay.

Registration and entry for all bidders and buyers is FREE. For those who want to sell, there is no cost to receive an offer, plus we give free estimates on the value of your item. If you want to know the current retail value, we take great pride in our business knowledge of keeping up to date with today's market values, and there is also no charge for that part of our business. Most other sites will want to make you pay for their knowledge, experience and advice. Our thoughts on that are that if we are willing to share our experiences with you, it not only helps you, but helps us in that we feel that when you give, you are not only helping yourself but you are helping others! And your happiness with our services is important to us. And we never expect to receive anything without paying a fair price for it, nor do we expect those who need those free services to repay us in any way. That is not necessary and not expected! We would simply like to see the world as a kind and happy place with giving and caring people. And for those who need to sell, we are here to offer our services. To keep our overhead costs down and to be able to offer our services (especially the ones that are free) we run this business from our home and therefore, do not have a storefront shop for people to peruse the dolls and items that our up for auction. Everyone in the world who is online will be able to view EVERY auction or classified piece! So the best way to view the auctions is to simply view the items online as they come up and not to visit our homebase unless you live nearby. Our staff takes excellent pictures of items and will answer your questions as you need them answered. Unlike other sites who provide you with only one picture, we are happy to take more pictures if there is a special area of an item that you wish to view or know more about. And there are simply times when a question must be answered with a good, clear photograph. And if someone is local and wants to place a bid on any item but feels the need to view that item in person and they are near our homebase, they are welcome to set-up an appointment to view the items in the upcoming auctions. An appointment is always needed because our business is strictly Internet based so we prefer most contact to be via e-mail, and we frown on phone calls since e-mail is not only faster, it's cheaper for both you and us. But in case of an emergency, our phone number will be available if you email to ask for it. And we do offer, in cases where we must see photos of dolls for a proper estimate, (this is usually with Vintage Barbie as she is more complicated than any doll that is collectible in the market today). Then we are willing to share our postal mailing address to anyone who wants to send photos but unlike other online shows where you need to phone-in or e-mail to purchase a particular doll (and then the doll might already be sold!), here on "The Little Doll Auctions" all you need to do is enter your Registered Username and Password on the sale page of the item and hope to win or buy. If you fall in love with an item and place the highest bid or in the case of Classified Ads, are the first to purchase, it will be yours! You don't need a telephone, just your computer! It's really a very simple way for sellers and collectors to conduct their business.

We also do not leave the bidders the ability to "snipe" that is what last minute bidding is referred to on other auction sites. On our site, the items do not sell until the absolute last bid is in! When the end of an auction comes and a bid is placed, the auction will not close until five minutes have passed from the very last bid. This allows fair bidding between our buyers and no one will be "sniped" out of something that they might have been willing to pay more for.

Plus this site relieves the financial pressure that is placed on buyers and sellers who attend large doll events, by eliminating the exorbitant costs involved in traveling to various locations around the world when trying to sell or buy fresh, new pieces. High booth rent at shows, set-up fees, transportation fees, tipping, meals, hotel costs, all of these high expenditures will no longer be a worry here. Both sellers and buyers can conduct their business from the comfort of their homes or shops.

Only those who register will be able to participate in this online auction site. Independent sellers are invited to register, and are thus welcome to place their items for sale through the site IF and only IF they already know how to post pictures on the Internet and how to fill out a web form for posting their items for sale on the site. Otherwise we suggest consignments and to let our experienced staff/sellers sell your items for you. If you do want to sell without a consignment and without our staff the fee is $50 per month (pre-paid) and you can list as many dolls as you like in 30 days. We will be organizing auctions on this site as consignments and collections come into our homebase. When a new lot of items are consigned we will notify our registered members via email so that they don't miss out on something that they would love. The public is always welcome to visit the complete site and registered or not, anyone can make use of our Discussion Board.

"The Little Doll Auctions" is not only a site for auctions! We do offer a "Buy it Now®" type sales or instant sales through our classified section. Our auctions generally run for ten days and when the last bid is entered and no bids are made for five minutes thereafter, the sale will close, just as it would at a regular doll show or offline auction. Classified ads will run for 30 days.

At this time, The Little Doll Auctions will be open year round for buying and selling at auction, visiting with your friends and seeing what has been sold in the last 60 days, and chatting on the Discussion Board. We will show fresh, new! works as often as possible so you will want to keep your eye on the site for those special auction or Classified ad pieces!
